uppo 0 Posted January 24, 2016 Hi. I'm just wondering if it's possible to tell if this camera has a IR cut off filter by looking at the photos? I don't know much about it other then it's a sunluxy camera ( cheap an nasty) an at night the image is black and white... When the camera switches to night mode , I can't actually hear the sound (click) of the filter lens moving out of position - but I have had cameras in the past that have done that very quietly . Oh- an yeh Iv removed the IR led board. ( I don't plan on using the camera on my security systems - plan on making a handheld night vision device with my son on the holidays as a lil project to keep him occupied !) Securame 0 Posted January 24, 2016 I would say no, it doesn't have it.
myiicu 0 Posted January 25, 2016 Your camera looks like Digital Day/Night only. True day/night cameras with IR cut filter have better daytime color reproduction than digital day/night cameras...
