Brill 0 Posted January 26, 2016 Hi All, Another new member here, first post. Looking for some direction on how to set up a Foscam IP camera to a cellular network via USB aircard. The camera will be used at a remote camp for surveillance purposes, and there is 3g/4g reception at the camp, and also has electricity, but no phone or internet service. Does anyone know the easiest route to setting up this type of application. I don't know a lot about it but I do believe I'll need port forwarding. I'm looking at a U.S. Cellular 4G wireless USB modem, and am also looking at a device called the: "PROXICAST POCKETPORT 2": POCKET-SIZED 3G/4G/LTE USB CELLULAR MODEM BRIDGE (MINI ROUTER). I'm wanting to look at the camera every so often to check on snow depth, and water level of the lake, etc. and for it to send pics to my phone when the motion sensor is set off. If this would work it would be a simple solution, and the data charges would be minimal. I've been trying to find an inexpensive solution for this for a few years. Thanks for any input! I will dig into it a little more. I'm beginning to think that a cellular trail camera might be the best option, but you can't do as much with those. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
