xrious 0 Posted January 28, 2016 I was talking to an auto electrician friend the other day and he mentioned that one of his clients had a requirement, being techie I was intrigued and haven't yet found a good solution so thought I'd ask here. They about 10 lorries with about 4 camera's on each. They want to record constantly ( no motion detection ) all 4 cameras for the entire shift, then when the lorry goes back to the depot they want the video to be uploaded automatically to a local server. My initial thoughts where an NVR with storage that's accessible via the LAN ( CIFS? FTP? ), have a wireless AP on the lorry so when it goes back to the deport the deport server can have a task to constantly check for the lorry, when the lorry connects via wifi it pulls off the video and stores it on the server. I've found plenty of NVR's that will record 4 x 1080p streams but getting the remote access is the tricky bit so I thought I'd ask here and also see if anyone could think of an easier solution. Cheers for any help Stu
jeromephone 6 Posted January 30, 2016 Google a police car video system and or a bus video system some of those have a wireless connection that automatically downloads the car or bus video to a server as soon as they pull into the parking lot at the end of the shift.
