omgang 0 Posted February 2, 2016 My first post and I don't really know much about this but am learning rapidly. I have just upgraded a pc-based cctv surveillance system for the health club I work out at. The old system was Win XP with a GV-94v-0 16-channel PCI card and MuliView software. The club purchased a new pc with Win 8.1 and also a GV-600B-8x PCIe card which came with GV-VMS software. Everything installed just fine but the software doesn't see/detect the cameras (there are 6 total). The cameras are Weldex WDB-5407SS which I've come to find out are weather proof, analog, cameras for rear-view applications on motorhomes, etc. From what I've been able to determine the GV-VMS software only works with IP cameras? So, what are my options? Will the card work with the cameras and it's the software that will not? Or will the card not work with the analog cameras as well? If it's the software, will Blue Iris software work with this setup? Will an older version of GeoVision software detect the cameras AND run on Windows 8.1? Obviously trying to get their system back up and running as cost-effectively as possible. Thanks.
omgang 0 Posted February 5, 2016 so it seems the GV-VMS software doesn't work with analog cameras. Apparently, Blue Iris doesn't work with the GV-600b PCIe card. Is there a software I can use that will work? OM Gang
