cctvuandme 0 Posted February 4, 2016 Hey all, New poster here. Been reading through the forums for a while and really appreciate all of the wonderful information. Question: Anyone every use anything like this to get multiple cctv channels over a single coax cable (TVI or other analog)? http://hnhmcy.en.alibaba.com/product/60216873336-210595947/4_Channel_Multiplexer_CCTV_Video_RS485_Transmitter_RG59_Coaxial_MUX_Modulator.html?spm=a2700.7803228.1998738836.12.DdA5tb OR http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/1080p-multiplexer-4-CHANNEL-TVI-CVI_60399233216.html?spm=a2700.7724838.30.88.d0i35W OR http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/4-Channel-Video-Multiplexer-for-1_60271199148.html I'm not asking if anyone has used these specifically but whether anyone has used something similar with success that might not require ordering in bulk from China. Why TVI and coax as opposed to IP and fiber, you may ask? We have several accounts with housing authorities with duplex housing setups. Aerial runs of RG6 with messenger were placed with PTZs. The PTZs are missing a lot of action due to tours and we would like to replace them with fixed, varifocal cameras without having to run more aerial cable. The budget is quite low for these accounts. The closest I've come to devices like these state side (I'm in the US) are products from Jayso Electronics: http://jayso.com/collections/cctv-multiple-camera-over-single-coax but they neither support RS485 nor TVI and are quite expensive individually. Any help is greatly appreciated! Regards, Ryan
