palsingh12 0 Posted February 5, 2016 Hello friend, This would be my first post. So please suggest me amends what need to be done in my post. MOving on to the question. we have to get CCTV footage from Location A to Location B. Location A has 4 analog cameras. Our priority is redundancy and then comes quality and others. for that what we are planning is running a CO-axial cable from Location A to the DVR placed in Location B. along with we would be connecting the cameras at Location A to network switches located there itself thereby pushing the CCTV data on to the network. This configuration would allow us to function even if one of the propagation paths is down (i.e. LAN cable breaks or Co-axial damaged) Our cameras would be having dual output. Please suggest some better configuration or suggest what better way we can achieve our requirements.
jeromephone 6 Posted February 7, 2016 you could do this with IP also look at Geovision they have a backup server solution I am sure other mfgs have the same. Look into running the analog cameras to a coverter from analog to IP it may be cheaper in the long run to have a completely IP system.
