Matt_wiersz 0 Posted February 10, 2016 Hi folks, Recently bought this 8 ch H.View system directly from China. Everything is working OK except for PTZ control. The software version: 2.2.3 421321B3 at least in theory provides support for PTZ functionality by relevant entries as to PELCO type, baud rate and so on. I have opened the unit to check if the proper circuitry is there and indeed the MAX485 chip is present as seen in this poor quality picture included. I have not been able to detect any RS-485 activity by any means whatsoever including the simple diode check to oscilloscope probing or. Three is just steady 0.05V across the RS-485 terminals while pressing the PTZ control icon on the screen or by means of remote control. Mr. H.View Technology from Shenzhen won't answer any emails though the DVR is still under warranty I realize there will not be any help coming from them any time soon if at all. Perhaps someone here may have an idea how to go about this problem. Current software allows future upgrades, maybe a different software from a known working source? Any ideas welcome.
