Running six AHD cameras over one CAT6 cable

Well is this possible to run six AHD cameras over on CAT6 cable?....Kindly check attached arrangement.

Please let me know if there will be any problem with this setup.

Yes you can .... But not as your diagram.

 

Also you will lower your resolution if you go over a certain distance

With cat5 or 6 you need to use the twist .... As in 1 pair.

6 cameras will need 6 pair.

 

And bad idea to use a common negitve for both camera video and power

Will run only 3 over one cat6 cable.

You can run 4 cameras over one UTP cable, but only signals. Cameras must be supplied by separate cable or locally, because one 24AWG twisted pair of Cat5 or Cat6 is not enough to power the cameras.

4 is the max on CAT5/6. 4 pairs= 4 Channels. Power locally and you will be good to go.

hello i am willing to install 2mp AHD camera on a factory upto 200 meter distance. Please let me know will it work properly with best quality CAT6 cable and UTP balloon setup. I will provide local power supply to camera

It will work fine. UTP baluns are generally specified for signal transmission up to 300 m, CAT5 or CAT6 makes no difference. Avoid mounting cameras on metal (conductive) grounded surfaces to avoid interference.
