picklevape 0 Posted February 18, 2016 Hello, I have a NVR that records .dat files. I can play back the files from the nvr, but I cant find any media players that can play the .dat files. I've attempted to contact the NVR manufacturer, gw security, and the media player they sent me doesnt work either. I was hoping someone had some ideas on how I can playback dat files recorded from an NVR. NVR model: GW-NVR2216E Thank you! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
TERRANCE 0 Posted February 19, 2016 You might have already tried this, when I go into the playback view (on my GW NVR),, there is a download button near the bottom right section of the screen. That opens up a window with a list of files from the previous day(s). In there you can download the .DAT file,, There is also the option to download player there.. Have you tried that one? I then had to open up the player,, and open the file from within the player. If I tried clicking on the .DAT file, it opened up the player but never played.
