cctv5678 0 Posted February 27, 2016 I have a home automation system from universal-devices.com that has a web server using java so any java enabled device can interact with it directly through port forwarding. It seems a lot of devices can only communicate over the web with an activex client or cloud connection. I'm not sure why. I don't trust a cloud connection.
