MineHunter2012 0 Posted March 1, 2016 Hi All, My wife and I live full-time in our RV at an RV park at the base of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State. We love it here, but.... not everyone in our RV park is always honest. Therefore, we have decided to install an IP-based CCTV system on our rig. This system will have 5 cameras - left and right covering the sides, one in the rear, one front facing, and one that looks out over the road going by. IP based using an NVR, and we plan on recording most of the cameras at 1080p/30fps. I have been doing all the research I can, but I would love to get some input from the experts here about what I have come up with. Keep in mind that we are trying to either a) build the system over time, or b) buy a ready-made one if the price is right. The first system I have found is from SuperCircuits. The advantage to this system would be being able to build it out over time: SuperCircuits - NVR - Alibi 3000 Series 8-Channel SwitchBox NVR - PN ALI-NVR3108P - Cameras - Alibi 4.0 Megapixel 65' IR Vandalproof WDR Outdoor Dome IP Security Camera - PN ALI-NS1014VR The next one is from Lorex. The advantage is you seem to get everything you need. The downside is you have to pay for the whole shooting match up front. Another advantage is that if purchased through Coscto it can be returned with 90(?) days: Lorex - System: HD NVR Surveillance System with 4 Full 1080p HD Cameras - PN LNR84W I admit I am not up on the most current CCTV technology, but I would welcome any opinions - good or bad - on the above, and also suggestions for alternatives. Thanks! Mark (-:
