how to format the HDD in my DVR?

Hi team,

 

I want to replace my HDD in my DVR because its already faulty. if I change the HDD, how to reformat because i dont know what OS inside this system. Please advise.

If you are using standalone DVR, plug the hdd in, and go to the DVR's interface to format it.

Most dvr will also prompt u to format/clean/initialize the new hdd when you turn it on with a new hdd.

 

If you are using a PC based DVR, good luck.

You should really just have to find the section within the DVRs user interface that relates to storage. You can have multiple sections related to this, but one of them will specifically contain the "Format" button.
