Hikvision DS-7716N-E4/16P spot monitor output using VGA port

Hey folks I need some information please, I need to connect a secondary monitor to a Hikvision DS-7716N-E4/16P NVR using the VGA port of the unit, the secondary monitor will be in the public area of a business and will display 6 of my 16 cameras permanently.

is the function doable on this NVR? the user manual does not seem to indicate this function.

if so how do i configure the NVR to do this?

if I’m reviewing video (playback) on the NVR will my secondary monitor 6 cameras be interrupted?

I think on DS-77xx VGA and HDMI outputs are not cloned, so you can choose to have a different view on them. So what you want to do, I think it can be done.

 

If you have the unit already, just try... go to the "live view" section on the config, and see if you can choose a different live view settings for VGA and HDMI output.

Thanks for your reply, I don't have access to the NVR yet to confirm, the issue of the second monitor requirement was brought to my attention after the unit was ordered. Hope it does have this feature built in.
