Bucki 0 Posted March 23, 2016 Hi Guys I am in a dilemma and need some help / advise. I am looking to buy CCTV System for my house (as got robbed recently ) I done a bit of googling and reading about CIF / D1 / AHD / 720P / TVL Resolution but not getting my head around it. Am I right to believe that the higher the TVL + ....P - the better ??? was looking at this on ebbay: h**p://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ANNKE-8-Channel-HDMI-DVR-H-264-960P-1-3MP-Indoor-Security-CCTV-Camera-System-2TB-/121907112769?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT *sorry I am not making adverts* even tho' it says 960p on the title, further down it stats 720p maybe that is not enough at all ?? besides that it is a DVR H 264, and not a AHD ?? Can anyone suggest a CCTV set up to £300, that is really worth it and can be used to see car plates clearly and people faces and not being blurry as seen on many of my mates Cams. trooper 0 Posted April 20, 2016 Get a minimum 3mp camera like hikvision dome cameras. You wont get anything decent for £300. You would be looking at about £1200 for a decent 4 camera HD system.
