Samsung SCP-343 OH Auto Pan issues.....Help anyone??

New to this Forum, first post was hoping someone might know something to help me out here.

 

I am a security technician working on a range of systems. One of my customers has a March networks DVR(which does not have rs-323 output) with around 7 SCP-343 OHs set on a slow continuous auto pan between two points. This was set up onsite with a Pacom DVR with Rs-323 output, then when auto pan was set, plugged the cameras back into the customers DVR. Ever few months the auto pan stops working, I go out to site and the only way I can resolve the issue is to take out the Pacom DVR, plug it in to the cameras switch the autopan feature off then back on again. Does anyone know why this might keep happening? Anyone experienced anything similar before?

**CORRECTION** rs 485 NOT rs 323
