DazM 0 Posted April 4, 2016 Please could anyone give me some advice to the problem I have below. I have a Trendnet NVR-104 and a Trendnet IP-311PI camera. I am using a Dynamic DNS service and set up a host name Myhostname.ddns.net Then I have forwarded the NVR Port 80 (ip 192.168.0.50) on my router I have also forwarded the NVR camera stream port 554 (ip 192.168.0.50) on my router I have NOT forwarded the camera which is on ip 192.168.0.51 If I use a PC on my LAN and log in via internet explorer using http://myhostname.ddns.net it logs into the NVR and works perfectly. What I cannot understand is why it logs me into the camera (and not the NVR) when I use a web browser outside of my LAN (my works PC) using internet explorer and http://myhostname.ddns.net As I have not forwared the camera ip only the camera stream on the NVR could anyone point me in the right direction? Many thanks Daz
RonR 0 Posted April 5, 2016 Try canyouseeme .org This tests if your internet service provider is blocking ports you are using to log in from outside the LAN
DazM 0 Posted April 5, 2016 Hi RonR Both the ports 80 and 554 are open and check out fine using your link. I can log in from outside of my LAN, but only to the camera not the NVR. I have not forwarded the camera IP which is what is confusing me. Cheers DazM
