Using NVR with Different Cameras

Hello,

 

I am so new to this but have bought 6 POE HIKVision cameras. I am now interested in getting an NVR. My question is can I use any brand NVR like a UNIfi NVR? I really like their software but I don't know if this will work with my cameras.

the ubiquity nvr will only work with the ubiquity cameras I have one and it works ok but would not reccommend it as the ubiquity line of cameras is very limited and the nvr does not even have a video port to connect a monitor directly to it.
