jeromephone 6 Posted April 6, 2016 I think that your mac address is supplied by the MFG and is supposed to be only for that particular device.

Boogieman 1 Posted April 7, 2016 well honestly i have no idea how my mac address changed.. i have two CCTV dvrs on my LAN Network.a 8ch one and a 4ch one.some how my 4ch dvr's mac got copied on to my 8 ch dvr..now both dont work simultaneously on my LAN network. please help. you are confusing mac address and ip addresses. You need to set a distinct ip address for each device. Google dhcp reservation and static ip.

hussian 0 Posted April 8, 2016 is there any way i can do it through telnet??? Anyone??
Daryl733 0 Posted April 8, 2016 I don't think you provide any useful information that enable anyone to assist you. No brand, no model, no photo. There are thousands of different brand/model/version of devices there. Was the mac address different right from the start ? As you said it's a china set without brand/model. Could be from those small company that just copy/clone things from others. The manufacturer might had used the same mac address for all their devices. What you can do if you got no idea, get a cheap router, connect one of the DVR behind the router configured with a different subnet, set the router DMZ mode to be on and forward it to that DVR. Now the 2 Mac address will no longer be on the same subnet.

jeromephone 6 Posted April 9, 2016 http://aruljohn.com/mac.pl Is a link to tell you who mfg your dvr. If you google mac address you will find several articles that explain how this is supposed to be a unique code that only your device has and it is supposed to be hard coded into the device.
