Hi3521 Hisilicon H.264 DVR: remote download of recordings

Bought in December 2014, cheap Chinese Hi3521 Hisilicon based unbranded 16 Channel Hybrid DVR (V4.02.R11.00000115. ...).

The systems functions well with my 16 analog cameras.

 

Downloading recordings on a computer in a local network works perfect, but... downloading files on a remote computer via internet seems not to be possible. On the remote computer you see the standard growing number of "blue blocks" and at the end you even get a message Download is finished ...but ..... in the directory specified, nothing appears.

 

 

Any suggestion is welcome.

After some further investigations I learned that it works if I have an USB Memory stick plugged in the remote computer and when I download from internet the recording directly to that...
