gynm212 0 Posted April 29, 2016 I am planning to open a new restaurant near Best brand appliances Ontario. I am planning to install CCTV camera surveillance system ( http://www.calgaryalarm.com/commercial-alarm/ ) but articles like these ( http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/workplace-cameras-surveillance-employer-rules-35730.html ) mentions a lot of rules and guidelines an employer are meant to follow . Now my doubt is, apart from these rules and regulations, are there any specific areas where you should or shouldn't place a CCTV??? I mean, anywhere in specific? ohcop72 0 Posted April 29, 2016 Obviously always check your local laws. The rule of thumb in the US is only place cameras in places where there is no expectation of privacy. Obviously bathrooms, dressing rooms are out of question. Also keep in mind some government buildings fall under the Public Records Requests and policies need to be in place. I would check your local laws, being a private business you should be fine.
