Trafic 0 Posted April 29, 2016 Hello. I own a dvr AverMedia Seb5108 Lite that I have not used one year and forgot the password. I know there are a masterpassord or hardreset but i did not find any documentation . On the pcb are two buttons and a few jumpers but I do not know for what. If someone can help me with some advice I would be grateful . Thanks in advance.

judy-mavlon 0 Posted May 3, 2016 It's best if you can contact the vendor where you purchased it. Master passwords are not usually publicly posted for obvious security reasons. A lot times they have a tool to generate the master password, or it's a very unique string of numbers.
Trafic 0 Posted May 5, 2016 I'm the unluckiest man right now... I contacted Aver support and were kind enough to send me a password reset. But I did not get to use it because before to begin the password reset process, I installed a new HDD to prepare everything. (stupid mistake) After I installed HDD the DVR entered in a RESTART LOOP every 10s color bars appear(normal) but then when it should appear "loading ...%" screen it just restart , again color bars again restart..and so on)... No boot. I tried everything (another HDD, without HDD,some Recover firmware and firmware found on the Internet, but does not read USB Stick). Some ideas? PS: Sorry for my english Thanks

Trafic 0 Posted August 31, 2016 Hello It looks like I "killed" for good now... In the absence of suggestions i tried all commands of u-Boot until to this two.. bubt - Burn an image on the Boot Nand Flash. file-name Burn a binary image on the t Nand Flash, default file-name is u-boot.bin . bubt_vic- Burn an image on the Boot Nand Flash By Vic. file-name Burn a binary image on the Boot Flash. After run the (bubt_vic) I froze and leds which indicating the presence Hdd lights up (Although no hdd connected)... Tried reset (buttons not working) disconnected from power supply.. nothing... just LEDs are on... no more connection via serial (for PuTTY) or network for Tftpd32. I believe that the only solution would be a JTAG connection via a cable Jtag to LPT (to flash NAND) ..but I do not know the procedure and what programs to use.. Some help please... tomcctv 190 Posted August 31, 2016 Hi once you get the test colour screen was the time it gave up. You Will not find anything on dvr to allow you to restart. You will need the software reloaded but it is not worth it and no longer supported. We're are you located ?
