tassod 0 Posted May 4, 2016 Hello everyone, Thanks for taking a look at my post. I have a pretty old system, Swann DVR4 2500 kit with 4 cameras. I would like to just replace the DVR unit and leave the cameras in place as they work fine. Do I have to go with another Swann unit or will any other unit with BNC inputs work with my Swann cameras? Don't really care about HD, just want a good unit that will work with those camera and that i can also access remotely with a smartphone. Thanks.
judy-mavlon 0 Posted May 5, 2016 Most DVRs now are compatible with analog cameras. I would suggest getting a 1080p DVR so you can upgrade your cameras in the future. You can go with either AHD (cheapest) or HD-CVI or HD-TVI. Just make sure the DVRs you purchase are compatible with analog cameras.
