Synology Survailance Station sucks - are there alternatives?

Hi guys,

 

I have waisted a lot of time trying to get my synology to work with a simple 1-camera "foscam c1"-setup. Summery is: it sucks using mac osx safara and also using internet explorer 11 in parallels. (see here for infos https://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=96848&p=433620)

 

Can you guys recon any good alternatives you can recon for a small setup with 5 cameras?

 

I'd like to have something like synology's playback&search-features that look really great on the advertising but SUCKS in reality.

 

Any suggestions?

You are using Mac. Most equipment manufacturer's support for macOS are lacking.

Even for the big boys.

 

Try looking for the accompanied software instead of using safari to view. That might be better.

I got synology now - you can use it on mac when you give parallels enough ram (12GB) and turn on 3d-rendering.
