nimoshy 0 Posted May 11, 2016 Hi all, I have recently received Q1615-E network camera and going to develop an ANPR software which could recognize number plates of passing vehicles in day and night. I read some where using IR illuminators will degrade the accuracy of ANPR especially in the case of high speed vehicles (120 km/h and higher) and to solve this problem white LEDs should be used. I wonder if anybody has experience in working with IR illuminators for high speed plate recognition? what's its pros and cons? is it necessary to use white LEDs for high speed vehicles in the night?
