To utd what are these video/recording equipments

Hi,

 

I am new to this forum, and is keenly interested in CCTV as it is part of my job requirement.

 

Can anybody throw light on the functionality of Video Matrix, Video Amplifier and IP Encoder? How to they compliment each other? What are the things that need to be taken note of?

 

I have searched in the internet for the above information, but it does not help in making me understand better. What is it I need to know prior to understand these equipments functions?
