coolspot 0 Posted June 23, 2016 Hello Everyone, I'm getting some cameras upgraded, it seems that the new Matrix Turrent Cameras are much better than older dome cameras - is there any reason to choose a dome over a Matrix camera anymore? These cameras will be outdoors, in a residential setting, and must withstand the Canadian Winter / Summers. Based on all things equal, which would you choose? Thanks. zanweihuang 0 Posted July 1, 2016 So dome camera is basically vandal-Proof, it is better to protect the camera from physical damage. Also, I believe there are dome camera with Matrix feature in the market right now. So u can just take both instead of choosing one of them.
smithj8394 0 Posted July 4, 2016 to be honest, the turret cameras are almost as vandal proof as the dome cameras nowadays. Generally have much better IR coverage, and dome cameras get more spider web problems. If you cant tell, i like matrix turret ones more.
