Finch2 0 Posted June 26, 2016 Hello Everyone, I am trying to plan an 8 camera system with Hikvision products. DS-7616NI-E2/16P NVR with DS-2CD2632F-IS and DS-2CD2642FWD-IZS cameras. The specs for the NVR say 16-ch@4CIF, 12-ch@720P, 6-ch@1080P I think this means: 1 - 11 cameras at 1080p, 12-15 cameras at 720p, and 16 cameras at 4CIF. I assume that would mean that I could have 8 cameras at 1080p, but the frame rate is not specified. Can anyone tell me if I use 8 cameras at 1080p what maximum frame rate I could use? Securame 0 Posted July 3, 2016 The specs for the NVR say 16-ch@4CIF, 12-ch@720P, 6-ch@1080P No idea where you got that from, but those are probably the live view/decoding specs. If you split the live view monitor in 16 (4x4) you will need to have the substream on your cameras at 4CIF; the main stream recording will not be affected. DS-7616NI-E2/16P can do 16 channels 1920x1080 at 25fps each channel. In fact, mthe encoding is done on the camera, not on the NVR, so it is the camera the one who has to be able to deliver 25fps at 1080p. I think the DS-7616NI-E2/16P supports up to 5Mp or 6Mp. Hilltop 0 Posted July 19, 2016 I think this means: 1 - 11 cameras at 1080p, 12-15 cameras at 720p, and 16 cameras at 4CIF. Pretty sure it means it will only support up to 6 cameras at 1080P, up to 12 cameras at 720P, and will handle all 16 at 4CIF.
