DVR Ventilation

Recommended Posts

I know the "Where should I put my DVR so that it won't get stolen?" question has been answered before. My question is in regards to getting air to it. I am renting my house so putting in a false wall or cutting in is out. There is not a good location inside to put the DVR where it can't be found relatively easily (no high cabinets that you can't see the top shelf, no little nooks anywhere near a power source, etc). So I came up with a pretty genius (I think) idea, put it in the garage inside a 240V switch box near my welder. The cables will easily run through the massive 1" conduit that is anything but out of place on the panel and it's easily locked. My problem is, how can I go about getting air to the unit without cutting holes all over it and ruining the disguise?

Got it figured out, found a setup from AC Infinity that has 2 separate 80mm fans and comes with a speed controller. It will plug in on the same power strip as the DVR and camera power leads.
