jimr 0 Posted July 25, 2016 I want 2 DVRs or something as way of a back up DVR system. If one DVR is stolen somewhere, there's another on premise also doing its job. Any ideas on how to get this done, what have you seen? Open to suggestions.
jeromephone 6 Posted July 27, 2016 could you have the dvr backed up to a NAS or cloud live. I have seen some services that will keep a certain number of days video stored on their servers before deleting it. If you have a NAS on your network it would go stop recording when the dvr is shutdown.

jimr 0 Posted July 28, 2016 Analog or ip? Analog Split video (each ch) between two of them and u done Should I just buy another DVR or is there something less expensive than buying the new unit and more efficient? Maybe something specifically made for the purposes of serving as a secondary unit or backup.
