I get to do the install myself and they gurantee the product for a year. Their website is: They would not tell me the name of the original manufaturer. Their asking price: 1. 8 CH 240FPS 120GIG CDRW NET --$3000 2. 3.5-8mm Color Varidome cameras -- $159.00 each Anybody out there have any experience with this product? Do the prices look reasonable and do you think the product will be reliable and effective? They do have a demo on their web-site but I wasn't able to access it which is not a good indication. AVCONSULTING 0 Posted June 3, 2004 According to the link you posted they have an 8 camera system for $1899. That is with the 120 gb hard drive. Why didn't you get a quote on that one? AVCONSULTING 0 Posted June 3, 2004 I went and took a closer look at the screen shot on the DVR they are selling and I'm almost sure it is a variation on the Chance I software. Maybe someone else can look at it and see. I find it funny since we have a huge discussion going on about all the variations of Chance I and who is carrying it. AVCONSULTING 0 Posted June 3, 2004 I've sold Ameba product before and they have been a pretty good factory to deal with and have been around for awhile. I looked over the manual for the DVR but can't figure out who's they are using. I don't know what the pricing is, you might want to post it in the dealer forum, but the unit looks sound and the warranty is nice. Definitely worth pursuing. In regards to the other DVR discussed in this section I looked at their remote software and I'm almost 100% certain that it is a Chance I or Chance I variation. qman 0 Posted June 3, 2004 I'm picking up a unit for a client today, when I get it over to my shop, I'll take the card out and snap a pic so that you all can see it and maybe tell me who the OEM is. The price for a 8 CAM 120FPS 120GIG unit is $1899 and for a 8 CAM 240FPS 120GIG is $2499. There are always some lights on inside the store even after closing. Thanks. AVCONSULTING 0 Posted June 3, 2004 There is no need for a 240 fps system in the application you are using. You will have plenty of fps available in the 120 fps. In fact no one outside of a casino or possible govt application would record at 30 fps per camera. You would use up your hard drive in a day. Most likely you will set your fps per camera at around 5. Don't waste your money on the 240 fps machine. You don't get any better picture quality and the software will be the same. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
PKassab 0 Posted June 4, 2004 This is where i buy my DVR's from if you call up there talk to Gary tell him peter sent you. I have purchased 20 or so dvr's from them and have never had a problem. The one time I had a problem with the camera they had a turn around time of 1 day and I was able to replace the camera and make the customer very happy.
