Looking for RS-232 console/keyboard protocol

Hi all,

 

I want to control my dvr (dahua) through rs232 (change the display, select camera 1, select camera 2, ...)

 

I'm looking for informations about this, but impossible to find it, I also contacted Dahua through their website, but no answer ...

 

anyone have documentation about this ? It would be very apreciated

because it will not be possible to access the recorder ( the images will be projected on a giant screen )

 

I will create a small smartphone application that will let me control it remotely

rs232 will not give you control access.

 

Create a app ??? ..... Why go so complicated.... You need a image feed to your projector so why not just keep it simple and run rs485

That way you will have the same image as on dvr .... Using a app will not be the same and slow
