richardwells87 0 Posted August 22, 2016 Hello, I have a Swann DVR4-1260 with 4 cameras connected. I have a problem where it is losing time connected to the internet or not. I phoned Swann tech support and they told me to update the NTP server to UK which I did. However it keeps loosing time. Even if im not connected to a network it loses time. For example it will stay correct for an hour after i have manually set it, but then be half an hour out all of a sudden. Anyone get any ideas? Thanks Rich

Noel Glass 0 Posted September 23, 2016 Reply from Swann I will try and see what happens Christian Hiquiana replied: Hello Noel, Thank you for contacting Swann Technical Support. I certainly understand your concern and really appreciate all your efforts in trying to fix this issue. For us to further isolate the case, we may need to run further troubleshooting. You can try the following steps below. 1. Unplug all cameras and connection to the router. 2. Restore system to default and setup the date and time again. Access Menu > System > Maintenance > Restore > Select System only. If the problem persist, the problem could either be on the CMOS battery. This holds the system settings as well as the date and time retention. When and where was the unit replaced?
