Mr. Anonymous 0 Posted September 2, 2016 I am a big eBay shopper, and I am comparing box camera enclosures. I live in the north so it needs to be heated, and I have found 3 versions I wanted opinions on. They are all about the same price. This one includes the mounting arm: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CCTV-Security-Camera-Weatherproof-Housing-Heater-Blower-Fan-Kit-Bracket-/261719155990?hash=item3cefad6516:g:hIAAAOSwMpZUpFLz This one has a rounded sun shield with no mounting arm: http://www.ebay.com/itm/16-Outdoor-Weatherproof-CCTV-Security-Surveillance-Camera-Housing-Enclosure-/291716803292?hash=item43ebad2adc:g:WEQAAOSwZtJW8i18 This one is not painted and may be thinner? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Outdoor-CCTV-CCD-Security-Camera-Housing-Enclosure-with-Heater-Cooling-Fan-/361671919054?hash=item54355385ce:g:unkAAOSwtnpXoKh1
tomcctv 190 Posted September 2, 2016 Hi. It depends on which camera used All your listings are ac power so you will need to run DC and AC if your cameras are 12v DC so best with 24v Also if you need IR you will need external
Mr. Anonymous 0 Posted September 2, 2016 I do not need IR I use motion lights right now. My cameras are 24vAC but when I upgrade they will likely move to 12vDC. I am more curious on structure strength and longevity (oxidation, chipping, etc). I am also concerned about maybe the design of the heater/ventilation from product to product. Anyone who owns them would be of great help

The price is cheap it might last years
