fas 0 Posted May 31, 2006 I am looking for a good b/w motion detector camera. The motion detector does not have to be functional. I have seen a few, but they look like you can tell they have a camera in them by looking at the small hole in the housing, and they also look like they would only be able to see in one direction, and not look down or see a whole room. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know. Thanks.
kensplace 0 Posted June 3, 2006 If you mean a covert camera in a PIR sensor then you will probably find that all of them will have to have a hole that the camera looks out of, otherwise the lens would not be able to see... They should have a wide angle lens in them, so they should see a fairly wide area. You could always get a tiny board camera, and install it in a PIR sensor yourself, just rip out the exising internals and stick the camera in, maybe use the whole where the led used to be for the lens. securitymonster 0 Posted June 3, 2006 GE seems to be the favorite on the board here. You can take a board camera and fabricate your own hidden camera. I've had customers use things like cereal boxes, plants, pictures, posters, lotion bottles, etc.... Its pretty easy to hot glue the board/pinhole lens to just about anything. Hiding the wires is the hard part.
