valsanford 0 Posted September 16, 2016 I am looking for your recommendations on the best system to purchase for an outdoor application of wireless cameras which can be viewed on line. Located in Saskatchewan Canada, longest distance from base unit is 1/4 mile. Is that even possible? Val
CharlesS 0 Posted October 12, 2016 have you checked the Zmodo ZM-W0007. They are listed among the best home security systems and are comparatively cheaper than many other brands. They have WiFi capability which will enable you to view the visuals online.

rodrhern 0 Posted October 25, 2016 Agree!!! You need a wireless setup, more than a standalone wireless camera. Basically an IP camera and a wireless Point-to-Point wireless link between the camera to the base unit. Since there is a long distance you should try with a directional antenna instead of an omnidirectinoal antenna, in order to gain some dBi. maybe this can help https://airlink.ubnt.com/#/ also be aware that rain, snow, can rapidly degrade you wireless link budget.
