Rudie 0 Posted September 19, 2016 Hi, I have upgraded my system on the weekend. replaced Qvis zeus DVR with Onyx Apollo quattro Got Onxy 1080p 2mp cams (work fine in colour!) Got Qvis 1080p 2.2mp cams (work fine in black and white!) These are TVI cams using shotgun cables. I have tested all the Qvis and they all appear B&W. I have checked on the DVR and remotely and its B&W on both. Can anyone help? Thanks.
Securame 0 Posted September 19, 2016 Make sure those are TVI cameras on a TVI DVR. If you connect AHD camera to TVI recorder, you will get black and white image.
Rudie 0 Posted September 20, 2016 I'll check what cams are connected and attach pics

Securame 0 Posted September 22, 2016 Your DVR seems to support both AHD and TVI, check if the channels are configured accordingly to the cameras.
Rudie 0 Posted September 25, 2016 Hi the cam is definitely set to tvi. I can see the ahd option and there is an auto option too but defo set to tvi, but still B&w. If I hard reboot the dvr, it comes up colour but then eventually goes B&w. I may just change the cam to onyx.
Securame 0 Posted September 25, 2016 Are your cameras on a place with enough light to work in day mode? Maybe they are just in night mode. Check if the IR on the cameras are turned on.
Rudie 0 Posted September 26, 2016 Yes cam is at front of house and gets the sun from 12pm onwards so definitely enough light. I have covered the cam and can hear the click and the leds come on. It isn't stuck in night mode
