ArmchairArchitect 0 Posted September 26, 2016 Trying to setup an inexpensive single outdoor security camera for my garage, which is a good distance from our house. We have a spare PC which we could load an existing copy of BlueIris recording software on. Being that analog outdoor cameras are MUCH cheaper (eg. $15-25) than ethernet/IP cameras ($75-100+), is there an inexpensive way to bring the analog video to the PC (ie. via a USB adapter) with good quality/results? Here's just one example of a camera I'm looking at: https://www.amazon.com/Annke-Security-outdoor-Weatherproof-Housing/dp/B0169YE894/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 but if there is some other inexpensive outdoor camera that could more easily connect to a PC, I'm open ears. Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks in advance for the help. You are wasting your time. Buy an ip camera- they 50 dollars wont kill you. You will not get a good image from that camera. Annke also post fake reviews for their products on amazon. http://fakespot.com/product/annke-900tvl-cctv-camera-in-outdoor-fixed-home-security-day-night-camera-ip66-weatherproof-metal-housing You will futz around with a crappy analog camera and a half baked solution that will never work well. Also not that if you are using an old inefficient pc, it will be cheaper to buy a replacement pc or simply use an NVR.
SunnyKim 2 Posted September 30, 2016 You may search USB DVR at ebay, amazon, alibaba. You may not buy the USB DVR below U$10. It may look like a pen, a tiny DVR. That's mainly for 1 Channel. You may buy the diffrent kinds, USB DVR, near U$20, 4Ch to 8 Ch. You may use it for a single channel. Yes, you may buy analog cameras below U$20.
