bentech 1 Posted October 4, 2016 Hi , I see more & more HD cams with coax cable . Are they compatible with older analog DVR ? Can the DVR resolution manage them ? Thanks !
Boogieman 1 Posted October 4, 2016 You will have to replace the DVR.
bentech 1 Posted October 4, 2016 it will not work a all or max resolution will be from the DVR ?
Securame 0 Posted October 4, 2016 It will work if you get HD cameras that can also output analog video, some cameras have two BNC connectors (one HD, one analog), some cameras have a switch to choose the system (4 in 1 cameras can be switch between analog/TVI/CVI/AHD), etc. A camera that is only HD will NOT work with an analog DVR. SunnyKim 2 Posted October 7, 2016 HD-TVI or HD-AHD cameras provide 2MP resolution (Full HD of 1080P X 1920Width at 30FPS rate) on a conventional BNC cable. You can buy Hybrid DVRs that can also support the conventional analog cameras (PAL/NTSC).
