Solar Infra Red Illuminators

Can anyone recommend a good solar powered infra red illuminator?

 

I'm looking for something like this:

Only one that turns on an infra red illuminator instead of a spotlight.

 

Does anything like that exist yet? If not, I wonder if I should get a patent on it?

just hook up a 12V infrared illuminator to a seperate solar panel with a backup battery.

 

Does it absolutely have to be incorporated?

you wont be able to do that with any kind of powerful IR though.. without a couple solar panels ..

Extreme CCTV already has solar powered systems with IR illuminators, however they come with a Camera too. You might be able to do what you're talking about, but the illumination range would be almost nil.

And if its a dull, overcast day, without much sunlight, then you probably wont have any juice for the night.
