adhs 0 Posted October 12, 2016 hi thanks for this great forum. In my office i have 2 wanscam security cams running: the old one jw004 and a new one the hw0041. But in my windows monitoring software there is always only one of this cams running - only the cam for i openend port 99 in my router. if i tried it with a different port, the cam did not work. My question: does wanscam only work with port 99 - and is it only possible to run 1 cam (the cam with open port 99), not both ? thank you
almelst 1 Posted October 13, 2016 Check port settings of both cameras in their Network settings menus. Change Http port for jw004 camera , for example to 199 and forward that port to that camera's IP address. Don't forget to forward also RTSP port to hw0041 IP address Now you'll connect to http://yourDDNSaddress.xxx:199 and http://yourDDNSaddress.xxx:99 to access your cameras from internet. tomcctv 190 Posted October 14, 2016 Hi. Wancam are cloud based so will not work with a ddns service Also having an old and new gives your problems as there cameras are not forward or backward compatable with viewing software (they need to be same cameras) You will need another 0041 to run 2 cameras. But I would not buy another .... I would get away from a China cloud service and as you have already bought 2 you have wasted money because of comparability problems Buy dahua or hikvision and be in control of the cameras YOU own
