repcleo 0 Posted October 15, 2016 I have an NVR-ELE32C-16p4K and I have 2 AXIS 8 MP cameras that have auto tracking installed before buying NVR, I was told if the cameras supported ONVIF they should work. I brought the cameras up but it was not with ONVIF it was with a dropdown menu and I checked AXIS. the camera came in but the most important features that I paid for doesnt work. Axis says its up to the NVR manufacturer to make adjustments and the NVR people could not help either. Has anyone had this problem or know of a NVR that will work with my 8 mp cameras and works with auto tracking, license plate recognition, etc. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
almelst 1 Posted October 17, 2016 Unfortunately, third-party camera support is often not full-featured on many NVR's. You can get picture, basic setup, but no extra features. Vice versa, some cameras can work in ONVIF mode besides their own protocol, but also without all features. Only sure option is to have both camera and NVR of the same brand, but even then you must check the compatibility. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
