beedix 0 Posted October 25, 2016 I was looking at systems. I'm not sold on Lorex or any one particular brand since key elements seem to have been designed by an OEM. I don't actually have a system yet so I'm looking at manuals at the moment. I see the software has a pretty useless ability to perform a manual backup. I also see that many of the DVR's have a second drive ability to mirror. I'd like to backup motion data (or all of it) through either USB or an extended SATA cable behind a wall or similar. Is there any ability to auto backup over USB? If not, are the internal HDD connections SATA? I was thinking I could terminate SATA (or USB) at a wall plate and run SATA power\data behind the wall or to a locked security cabinet where the second "internal drive" sits. I'd then be able to mirror that drive and if the NVR is stolen, I'd hopefully have the mirror. Possible?
