4MP camera with HD DVR

Hi all,

I am not sure if my question is eligible here and I appreciate all your answer.

I am considering install a Q-see security camera system.

The NVR system is too expensive.

My budget is for HD DVR.

I found at costco:

Q-See 16-Channel HD Analog DVR with 2TB HDD, 16 4MP Cameras with 100' Night Vision

My concern is: I dont have the output as good as 4MP camera when using with HD DVR.

Should I buy this system and convince myself that I will get 4MP output ?

Qsee is simply re branded Dahua. Dahua does have 4MP HD-CVI cams now and I suspect thats exactly what these are. My own 2MP Dahua cams perform just as well as 2MP IP cams for what its worth. As far as the IR night vision, I can't say for certain but I typically take whatever the manufacturer says and cut it in half for "effective" IR distance.
