go8bud 0 Posted October 31, 2016 Hi, I am looking to install a home system that would have DVR NVR IP a 4 channel would be fine since I only really need 2 cameras setup. I am looking for advice on how long of a run I can go with the camera on CAT5e or CAT6. I have a spool of 5e but if CAT6 is better I'll just buy a roll. The one camera is roughly 200 foot from the base unit, the second one is only about 100 foot. Also what is a good unit to purchase? Thank you, Ken
