Standalone DVRs NVRs don't have the software to accept commands But what is a problem is the easy network setup that comes with the systems in the form or QR scan setup ... And even then the recorder or camera does not access your network as it can't. It's when you scan the code on the screen with cell or tablet that then allows a command to open and change your router network. It drops your router security firewalls it gives your home network a http address along side the one your ISP assigned the the other http is the problem and is the key hole in your network un protected way in past security firewalls.......
