StefDahua 0 Posted November 3, 2016 Hi everybody, I have 1 VTO2000A + 1 VTH1550CH (set as master) + 1 VTH1660CH (set as slave) + 1 switch VTNS1060A + 1 power supply VTP2406. All of these devices has been installed and configured. VTO firmware is: General_Multi3_VTO2000A_EngRusItlFreGetDutSpaPor_P_16M_V3.100.0000.0.R.20160622 VTHs firmware are: General_Multi3_VTH1510_EngRusItlFreGerDutSpaPor_P_V3.100.0000.0.R.20160622 The problem that I have is that once the call is coming from the VTO, if I open from any of the VTH panels sometimes open and sometimes no. Also, even if they open the outside door, looks like the VTO goes offline and the panel freeze for about 5/10 seconds. Then I can't open again or see the MAIN VTO image for at least 2 minutes before I can operate again. Can anyone suggest me something to fix this problem please? Thanks in advance for your support. gerdshi 0 Posted November 3, 2016 I think there is a time after the frist opening that you have to wait, before you can open the door again. By me it is so. But by me doesn't freeze the VTO. May be is yours broken? The wait time is to find/set in the configuration webpage of the VTO.
StefDahua 0 Posted November 3, 2016 I've just tryed to modify the time of opening (from 1 to 5 sec) and wait time from 15 to 1 sec but nothing change. Don't think VTO is broken. Probabily something else in the config or maybe wrong connection from VTO to electric lock?
gerdshi 0 Posted November 4, 2016 Hello! Wrong connection - nooo.... i don't believe this. It is so simple the connection, thet there is no place to going somenthing worng. But in the firmware is it possible, that the setting of the wait time is not fuctioning correct. I never changed the time to see if this works. For me was it enough 1x to open. And i teste that much later, more than 30 or 60sec., the second opening works too. The Porblem is, i don't use any more the nonSIP-Firmware and switsched to the SIP-Protocol. So if i can chek it eve by me. but i don't know if this will help you, because we use completely different Firmware. I test it by me and write again. Offtopic: There is a way per Web Request to open the door too. There is no delay restriction in this case.

StefDahua 0 Posted November 18, 2016 Hi everyone, just solved the issue. The VTO2000A need a 12V DC power with at least 1A on PIN 1 and 2 because with only PoE from the switch, the current is not enough to open/unlock the door, and this cause the shut down of the VTO and restart of it. Adding separate and dedicate 12V DC, it works fine!
51cent 8 Posted November 19, 2016 Interesting article on electronic door locks and possible weakness. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/local/broward/coconut-creek/fl-coconut-creek-burglar-trio-20161116-story.html

51cent 8 Posted December 2, 2016 There's no article there... Link works for me. But here is part of the article... All combined, the burglars got away with about $9,000 worth of cell phones, iPads, watches and other valuables, reports said. Each of the homes had electronic keypad lock systems on the front doors. None of the homes had signs of forced entry. "It appears the first male used some type of tool, possibly electronic, to bypass the keypad on the front door," Officer John McKinney wrote in his report.
