Mirai Malware

Good day gurus,

 

Hoping some can guide me, I have multiple DOTIX DVR's and it appears one of them was compromise with a malware Mirai. I say Mirai because the service provider sent an email letting me know.

 

If the unit was compromised how do I clean it, will a factory reset do it, or do I have to replace the unit.

 

any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi. Watch out there are a lot of scams going around

 

Your ISP would not let you know ...... . And can't tell you have only one infected.

 

The miral does not infect it opens your network.

 

Do you use a P2P or a cloud for your recorders.

 

Also it was not just security products ... It's also printers network kettles, network thermostats

You need to change the Admin password and close / disable TELNET /SSH access to the device.
