davahad 0 Posted November 7, 2016 Hi, Trying to add a powered Q-SEE QSPMIC Microphone which has one Male RCA Jack Connector to the QCN8035Z. There are 8 single wires with no connectors coming out of the 8035Z. Red - Alarm COM Brown - Alarm Out White - Alarm In Blue - Alarm In 2 Grey - Audio Out Black - Ground Green - Audio Ground Purple - Audio In Do I splice on a single Female RCA Jack to the Purple Wire (Audio In) and then plug the QSPMIC into this connection? What about Audio Ground? Do I need to use the Audio Ground Wire? Also the 8035Z is a 24V POE+ camera. Do I need to be concerned about using the QSPMIC Microphone which has it's own 12V power supply? I do not want to fry the camera. I am powering the 8035Z using a POE+ Switch (not using the power brick that came with the 8035Z). Appreciate any help. davahad 0 Posted November 8, 2016 I answered this one myself and added pictures and the connectors used. With this camera and NVR setup you have to use a Microphone that is powered with 12V. The Q-SEE QSPMIC Microphone is powered with its' own 12V power supply. Overall the sound is pretty good with this mic.
