OceanWW 0 Posted November 29, 2016 I hope I am posting this in the correct place. I currently have a Q-See unit QT 428. This runs 8 cameras round my home. Although I have had it for some years I have never, until now, needed to view remotely. This seems to be very hard to do! I have been messaging Q-See and was told to upgrade firmware, which I did. The problem is that having done so, and expecting that the unit would use the UPnP to connect with my router, it is not doing so. The last message from Q-See was that they were unfamiliar with my router so could not help! The router is Mikrotik RB951 and being less than a year old, should have the UPnP capability. When I try to go on the Mikrotik site, I find the info. so complicated that I have no idea what to do. Q-See do not say in their instructions what do do if the two will not see each other. I'm really hoping someone on here can offer some help.
DaleC 0 Posted March 6, 2017 Make sure the dvr is assigned a static IP and upnp is enabled for the router and dvr. If by some stretch the router doesn't support upnp, get the ports from the dvr and forward them manually.
