mrblueox 0 Posted December 2, 2016 I am putting a system on our farm and have everytning set to go. I can either place my NVR in the barn or a Milk house which is about 10ft from the barn. The reasoning for the cameras is someone torched our last barn and i want to have some video. Now the problems i have is No internet so all video will be on the NVR only. My question is what can i put the NVR in to help protect it? Was thinking some type of cabinet or fireproof box in the milk house which has no heat or ac in it. Any suggestions on what to put it in. Currently all wires are going to go through conduit to the Milk House. THanks
mattaggie 0 Posted December 5, 2016 Computers need AC and fresh air to cool. Anything you put the NVR in to make it fireproof means the NVR is not going to get fresh air to circulate. How far is your house from the barn?
mrblueox 0 Posted December 5, 2016 House is quarter mile or so from barn.
tomcctv 190 Posted December 5, 2016 Hi. Your milk house is fine ... No need for AC. Dvr lock box or make your own box with ventilation. I would also look at one of these for your barn so as you get some sort of notification. http://www.mobeye.eu/EN/products/18-fire-alarm/6-cm2400-mobeye-gsm-smoke-detector
